Brian Haner

Brian Haner 1 Photo

Best known as Guitar Guy from The Jeff Dunham Show, Brian Haner is that perfect combination of skilled guitar player and stand-up comedian. Brian was part of the largest comedy tour in the world while on the road with Jeff, seen live by over 2 million people. He was also part of the Jeff Dunham Christmas Special, the highest rated show in the history of Comedy Central, seen by 20 million people. While many guitar comics simply play chords while they do their comedy act, Brian is a whole different kind of musician. Brian spent twenty-five years as a guitarist, recording and touring with musicians ranging from Avenged Sevenfold to Frank Zappa. For the last four years he has opened for The Jeff Dunham Tour on more than 500 shows, in just about every city in America, as well as South Africa, Australia, and a tour across Europe. Brian is now headlining clubs across the country in his own rock ‘n’ roll comedy show. With over 5 million views on his YouTube page, Brian has created a rabid fanbase for his live shows.

George Lopez is one of only four off-net comedies to post weekly ratings gains among households from the 2007-’08 to 2008-’09 season.
Lopez will return to television in the multi-camera ensemble comedy Saint George in January 2014.  The show will revolve around the chaotic life of a recently divorced working class Mexican-American (Lopez) turned successful entrepreneur.  Starring and co-created by Lopez, Saint George will air on FX and will be produced by Lionsgate Television in a 10/90 deal with Debmar-Mercury.
Lopez most recently released his second memoir, I’m Not Gonna Lie And Other Lies You Tell When You Turn 50, where he tells the unabashed and hilarious truth about aging – as only he can.  In 2012, Lopez debuted his third solo stand-up special It’s Not Me, It’s You on HBO.  Lopez also voiced animated characters in a string of animated blockbuster films  including Thurman in Escape from Planet Earth opposite Jane Lynch and Sofia Vergara, Rafael in Rio, along with Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, Grouchy Smurf in The Smurfs 1 and 2, and The Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1, 2, and 3.  His other most recent film credits include the box-office hit Valentine’s Day  directed by Garry Marshall,  Swing Vote, Henry Poole Is Here and Balls of Fury.

He released his third standup CD, El Mas Chingon, in 2006, which also earned Lopez a GRAMMY nomination in the category of Best Comedy Album. Prior to that, in 2004, he was nominated for a GRAMMY in the same category for his CD Team Leader. In May 2004, his autobiography, Why You Crying?, entered The New York Times Bestsellers List top 20. The book was co-written by Emmy winning writer and sportscaster Armen Keteyian. Lopez also was the focus of the award-winning documentary Brown is the New Green: George Lopez and the American Dream.
In 2006, Lopez received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, Time magazine named him one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America, and the Harris Poll named him one of the Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities. Lopez has made more than 200 television comedy, talk show and hosting appearances, including co-hosting the Emmy Awards and twice hosting the Latin GRAMMYs. In 2001, Lopez hosted a major morning radio show in Los Angeles, becoming the first Latino to headline the key morning slot on an English-language station in one of the nation’s top radio markets.
Lopez has received the Manny Mota Foundation Community Spirit Award and was named Honorary Mayor of Los Angeles for his extensive fundraising efforts benefiting earthquake victims in El Salvador and Guatemala. Other honors include an Imagen Vision Award, the Latino Spirit Award and the National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Award.

  • JR Brow
November 07, 2014 at 7:30 PM JR Brow
J.R. Brow went to college, became a standup comic, and eventually toured 49 states and 4 continents with his guitar in hand.  His original standup comedy instantly won over young and old fans alike.  Almost immediately, J.R. marched to the finals of the San Francisco Comedy Competition.  He has opened for performers like Dana Carvey, Ray Romano, Bill Hicks, and Steven Wright. He's recently been featured on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and CBS’s "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" as well as many other television spots along the way.

Like the rarest of breeds, J.R. electrifies audiences with his high energy storytelling and spot-on mimicry.  When his guitar comes into the act, the originality peaks with his unique musical prowess.  Brow's comedy can be heard on his current CD, "Dumber By The Decade" and read in his upcoming memoir, "The Ancient Greeks Had Nothing On Me."

J.R. lives in Austin, travels forty-plus weeks a year, and is constantly writing new bits.  In his free time, he collects Japanese guitars and rare vinyl records

  • Greg Hahn
November 14, 2014 at 7:30 PM Greg Hahn
From Corporate Employee to Corporate Entertainer!

A favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show. He has appeared on Late Night with Conan Obrien, Comedy Central, CBS, ABC, FOX, MTV and CMT.

Greg Hahn has parlayed his absurdly energetic, all out style of physical humor, one liners and crowd work, into a performance of immediate pandemonium and crazy fun. His wild, likable stylings have led to numerous television, corporate and theater appearances throughout the country and Canada.

Developmentally arrested, Greg was raised in South Florida where in high school he amused the Catholic nuns by poking holes in his pockets enabling pens and pencils to shoot out of his pant leg.

As a college basketball player, his enjoyment of half court shots earned him a prime spot on the bench.

As a Captain in the Marines Corps, Greg kept his men highly motivated and could not overemphasize that camouflage is continuous.

While a buyer for Lockheed Corporation, he thought “Why make $200 a day, when I can be a comedian and make that in a week.”

After several serious jobs where he refused to be serious, Greg turned pro as a stand up comedian and landed the unique gig as emcee for a theme park lumberjack show. This supplied him with a microphone, four huge audiences a day, drunk ax swinging lumberjacks, and a log rolling dog.

Soon afterwards, he worked as stuntman in the Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show at Universal Studios. “For $20 an hour I’d run out, fall down a few times, then get whacked in the head with a stick…dream job!”

He continually honed his style of comedy then headed to New York City.

While in New York, Greg developed into a touring headliner and costarred in the independent film Tomorrow Night which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Then, after successful shows at the Montreal and Chicago Comedy Festivals, Greg enjoyed hit television appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC), Premium Blend (Comedy Central), Make Me Laugh (5 episodes, Comedy Central), Louis CK’s Pulp Comics (Comedy Central), 30 Seconds to Fame (Fox), Cedric the Entertainer Presents (Fox) and Star Search (CBS).

When appearing on Star Search, Greg was spotted by Tom Griswold of the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show. Greg has since established himself as a favorite guest on the show and starred on the Bob @ Tom Comedy Central Special. He also headlines the Friends of The Bob @ Tom Theater Tour, which included a stop at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival.

A return appearance to the Montreal Comedy Festival along with the Halifax Comedy Festival and appearances on Country Music Television’s “Comedy Stage”, “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen”  and being tasered on “TOSH.O” (Comedy Central) have also added to Greg’s popularity across the country.

Continuing to advance his career in film and television, Greg now lives in Los Angeles where in between shows, he goes ballistic on the drums, destroys his pathetic fellow comics in ping pong, and flies indoor helicopters into the ceiling fan.

  • Emo Philips & Tim Cavanagh
November 21, 2014 at 7:30 PM Emo Philips & Tim Cavanagh
    Emo Philips
Described by Jay Leno as "the best joke writer in America," and considered by many, including "Weird Al" Yankovic, as one of the funniest people on the planet, Emo Philips has performed over 6000 times throughout the English-speaking world (including a multi-week run at the Playhouse Theater in London's West End). Since starting out, at the age of twenty, in Chicago in 1976, Emo has had award-winning comedy albums, several cable specials (including an hour-long one on HBO), and many appearances on network television, in both America and the UK. He has appeared in films (most notably, as the table-saw demonstrator in UHF) and has lent his distinctive voice to animated TV shows (such as Doctor Katz and Home Movies), but his first love, stand-up, remains his true one.

    Tim Cavanagh
Since leaving the classroom, Tim Cavanagh has brought his comedic songs and inventive stand-up to concert halls, corporations, college campuses and nightclubs across America. Over the years, he has also made several trips to Canada, where he has to convert all his jokes to Celsius and his one degree in philosophy becomes a bone-chilling minus 31. He has even performed on the island of St. Lucia, his first time ever doing comedy in the Atlantic Standard time zone, where they got his jokes one hour sooner than they would have in New York.

Early on, it was Tim's funny songs that got a lot of attention. His song, "I Wanna Kiss Her (But She Won't Let Me)," was the first of Tim's pieces to receive national radio exposure, on the legendary "Dr. Demento" show. Other songs followed, including "99 Dead Baboons," "Get Drunk with Dignity," and "Really Safe Sex." His funny music has been heard on radio stations everywhere, as well as on XM Satellite and even the BBC.

In 1997, Tim released his first CD, "Sounds Like Fun!" By then he had become a regular guest on "The Bob & Tom Show," a nationally syndicated radio show now heard in 150 markets. For two years, Tim did a weekly segment on the show called "The One Minute Song," which spawned two more CDs released on Tim's own label, Hits & Giggles Records. At a recent Hits & Giggles awards dinner, Tim was recognized by the label as their "Best Artist," an award he has won three out of the last four years. Even though he is the only act on the roster, a misty-eyed Cavanagh was quoted as saying, "It's still a big thrill."

As for television, Tim has not only appeared on Comedy Central, he was chosen by the network to do several live performances for their clients and customers. His national appearances on ABC-TV, Showtime, WGN, and Comcast have helped Tim deal with his biggest TV disappointment--calling QVC seconds too late to get a great deal on a colander set.

The book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Jokes, features a half-page of Tim's advice on "How Not to Introduce a Joke," as well as other select jokes. And just to clear up a rumor: if you look up "gullible" in the dictionary, you will NOT find a picture of Tim. He's checked. Tim's book, Chicken Soup for the Vegetarian Soul, just went through its sixth printing. Cavanagh firmly believes in printing them "one at a time."

  • Mark Poolos
December 31, 2014 at 7:30 PM Mark Poolos
Mark Poolos was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota. To start his career he co-starred in two independent films "Attack of the Killer Snow Cone Zombies" and "Joanie Loves Furbies". After his performances in those two films there wasn't a person who didn't know his name. He did more films, some commercials and some theater but it wasn't enough. Mark needed that instant connection. So he began his stand-up comedy career. In Marks comedy routine he melds observational humor, one liners, family humor, and humorous original songs with guitar accompaniment together, to create his own unique style of comedy. He has been compared to the likes of Adam Sandler and Louie Anderson. Mark is a true road dog, performing in 40 states including Nevada, California, and New York. Mark hopes to do a film in the future people have actually seen.
