  • Ms Pat
February 27, 2015 at 7:30 PM Ms Pat

Let’s start with Ms. Pat hasn’t lived the life of your typical comedian. Born to a single mother of 5, living on welfare in a tough West end neighborhood of Atlanta, Ms. Pat learned early on she would have to fend for herself in this world. Her Grandfather ran a “bootleg” house where as a kid Pat learned how to roll the drunks for food money. She had her first child at 14 and her second child at 15, “I knew I wasn’t going to college so I figured why not get an early start on my family”. She became a drug dealer in her teens known by the street name “Rabbit”. “I figured there were two things I could do in my neighborhood to earn money, either sell drugs or sell p*@#$y”. At 16 she purchased a Cadillac and was taught to drive by a crackhead regular. During her teens she was shot twice and arrested numerous times. At 19 years of age she met a man, and with his help and encouragement decided to get out of the “life”. “I was so tired, I thought for sure I was going to end up dead. He was 21 and a military vet and he showed me a way out”.

Now at 19 with two toddlers and a new husband she is handed 4 more young children from her sister who was struggling with drug addiction. The next 10 years of her life are spent raising those 6 children. Part of that process included visits to the welfare office for food stamps and Section 8 housing assistance for her sister’s children. It was during these visits that Ms. Pat was first told she had a talent for telling funny stories. In 2003 with her case-worker’s encouragement she decided to go on–stage and appeared at the Open-Mic-Night at “The Pub” in Atlanta. From the moment she stepped on stage she knew she had found her place. She began pouring punch lines across stages at the rate other moms pour milk at the counter. With a comedy career now spilling over 9 years this powerful woman brings a hardcore, in your face, honest and hilarious perspective to her shows.

In 2009 she began touring as the opening act for national headliner Arnez J. In July of this year she made her first TV appearance on the TV Guide Network’s “Standup in Stilettos”. She will also be appearing on Nickelodeons “Mom’s Night Out” comedy special in October. She is a regular guest on the Bob and Tom Radio Show. Currently she appears on Katt Williams new DVD release “Kattpacalypse”.

Ms. Pat currently resides with her husband and three children in Indianapolis.

March 06, 2015 at 7:30 PM Andy Kindler
Andy Kindler is known in comedy circles as a troublemaker. Originally from New York, and now complaining from California, he annoys people all over the world.
Andy is a frequent guest and correspondent for "The Late Show with David Letterman." Each summer at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal he delivers the State of the Industry address to a packed ballroom filled with comics and Hollywood industry types. He is infamous for his scathing attacks on the world of entertainment, including the previously taboo practice of making fun of his fellow comedians. Just as the comedy boom of the nineties was imploding, Andy wrote the "Hack's Handbook" for National Lampoon -- a satirized "how to" guide that exposed tired comedy formulas.

  • James Johann // Fundraiser for Vinton-Shellsburg Post Prom
Comedian James Johann is now among one of the most popular acts touring the nation today. With a hometown charm and a deliciously quick wit, James has been a long-time staple of the Midwest comedy circuit. From Chicago to Houston, Erie to El Paso James' small town upbringing makes him a familiar favorite in the heartland of the country. However, James is just as comfortable playing the biggest stages and events up and down either coast and has made several appearances on national television and radio shows. James' "Rural Genius" persona is gaining popularity daily as more and more fans find that they can relate to his self-deprecating style of homespun horse sense.

James has delivered powerful performances alongside some of the top-grossing names in the comedy industry: Jeff Foxworthy, Larry The Cable Guy, Ron White, Lewis Black, Tracy Morgan and Kevin Nealon to name just a few. He is comfortable on any size stage and never leaves a crowd disappointed. James has been a national touring headliner in his own right for nearly ten years, during which time his writing and performance skills have only grown stronger. Don't be fooled by his boyish grin or midwestern charm; James is no backwoods rube. James relies more on his brain than the profane and he just may be one of the nation's best kept secrets.

In July 2004 James performed in the New Faces of Comedy category at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. James was featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend in 2005. Additional appearances include The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2006 and CMT's Comedy Stage in 2008. James just completed taping Byron Allen's Comedy TV which will air later this year.

  • Guy Torry
March 27, 2015 at 7:30 PM Guy Torry
In the tradition of comedians who have made the transition from the stage to the screen, such as Richard Pryor and
Bill Cosby, multi-talented Guy Torry has made the leap to comedic actor with great success. Guy Torry moved to
Los Angeles, CA to join his two older brothers, famed comedian/actor Joe Torry, and now US Army Lt. Colonel
Ramon Torry in 1992. Actually moving to Southern California to finish his education in pursing a degree in
marketing. After moving there and being inspired by HBO’s Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, Guy decided,
that’s the career path he should take.

Guy started hitting the comedy pavement, performing at comedy clubs in Los Angeles, sometimes going up 3 or 4
times a night. Focused and dedicated to stand up, Guy won his first comedy competition while competing with
seasoned pros after only six months of doing comedy.

That gave him the confidence to continue to pursue a career in the field of stand up comedy.
After only a year and a half in the game, Guy had a chance to audition for the very show inspired him to try stand up. After careful consideration, Guy along with his brother Joe decided that maybe a little more time was needed to
hone the craft and try out the next season. That proved to be golden. Martin Lawrence the show’s host, stepped
down, and Guy’s brother Joe was named as the new host. Bob Sumner, the shows talent coordinator, gave Guy the
green light for his stand up television debut.

Guy went on to join the national Def Comedy Jam Tour and play to sold out theatres around the country. He
continued to hit perfect his craft while not on DCJ tour in local clubs and other comedy clubs around the country.
After securing a manager and agent, Guy started booking acting jobs, which raised his global profile.

In 1995, after seeing a lack of industry coming down to the urban neighborhoods to scout some of the other Black comedians, Guy created Phat Comedy Tuesdays at the world famous Comedy Store. Guy wanted to bring the “hood”
to Holly “wood” to showcase some of LA’s up and coming Black talent. The show was a hit, and lasted for 10 years.
The name was later changed to “The Guy Torry Comedy Show” because of all of the other clones around he country.

During this time, Guy has toured the country and abroad displaying his brand of comedy and bringing laughs to
every one. All of this attracted the attention of “The Kings of Comedy “ creator Walter Latham, who hired Guy to
the original host of the tour. The tour did 52 dates as Guy as the host along with other veteran comedians, Cedric The Entertainer, the late Bernie Mac, and Steve Harvey, After a year of touring, Guy decided to leave the show to pound
the comedy pavement again, and work on his craft. He also booked a one-hour action/drama show on the now
defunct television network UPN that wouldn't allow him to tour.

He now tours the country hitting comedy clubs and theatres working on a comedy album and putting together the
right set for a comedy special.

  • Rob Little
April 17, 2015 at 7:30 PM Rob Little

Rob Little’s outlook on life can be summed-up in two words:
Pure Optimism. At a young age, he developed and nurtured
an upbeat philosophy about life.  In a recent interview he
revealed, "In elementary school, kids would always pull
food away from me at lunchtime saying mean, hurtful
things like… 'Let go of my sandwich!'"

Fortunately, Rob’s ability to see things in a positive light,
coupled with his desire to make people laugh, has served
him well.  While working in a lucrative position as a
computer programmer for IBM, he decided to take a huge risk. The Detroit-born comic sent out an ALL-company e-mail that read, "If you aren't happy here, quit your job and follow your dream." IBM promptly gave him his walking papers, but getting fired was a blessing for Rob and comedy lovers nationwide.  He now enjoys an incredibly successful career as a stand-up comedian and with an impressive and growing portfolio of television and film appearances, he is quickly earning national recognition.

Watch Rob in action, and you’ll agree that he is one of the very best stand-up comedians in the country.  A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" and "Last Call with Carson Daly," Little uses his training from the world famous Second City Comedy Club to create routines that are inventive, funny, spontaneous, and completely unique. He headlines clubs and colleges all over the country, has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as Comedy Central's “Distraction,” Fox News and SiTV's “Latino Laugh Festival.”  He also earned a role on the CBS network summer hit series, “Fire me Please.”   Rob’s recently released 3rd comedy DVD/CD, is another testament to his talent and status as a comedic force.

Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, new comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why entertainment bookers call him "The Future of comedy with more contagious energy than the Energizer Bunny."  The Detroit Free press selected him as the “Best up and Coming Comedian,” and he earned the title of “finalist” in both the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.  Rob was also selected as a feature performer at the Chicago Comedy Festival along with the Boston Comedy and Movie Festival.  Recently Rob was named Maxim Magazine’s “Real Man of Comedy”.  Last Comic Standing on NBC named him, “The Happiest Comic in America”.  Campus Activities Magazine named him “College Comic of the Year” and you have also seen him on the Comedy Central sketch comedy show “Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time”.

Don't let the "Little" name fool you. Little is BIG! But that has never slowed him down. "Yeah, I'm big, and all my relatives are too. Heck, we just got our family portrait done by aerial photography. And there are only three of us."  The truth is, Rob is big in more ways than one.  With a grin on his face, a gleam in his eye, and a passion for comedy that is larger than life, he’s the biggest thing to happen to comedy in a long, long time.
