Penguins Comedy Club located inside The Vault presents The Untamed Schrews
April 11 and 12
Show Time 7:30 PM
Sex education was never like this - and if it was no one would have cut health class. A mix of traditional stand-up, improv and music, The Untamed Shrews is a bawdy variety show with no limits that has been entertaining audiences for more than a decade. With the Untamed Shrews you get many men’s fantasies fulfilled - two women at once. Sometimes, it’s just more than they can handle. But those same men (and women) are laughing the whole time. First, Susan Smith and Marge Tackes offer their unique takes on sex in separate stand-up acts, followed with them teaming up for an improv set that gets the audience involved in the show. The show is capped off with a musical finale featuring lightning-fast costume changes with the likes of Cher, Michael Jackson, Stevie Nicks and Meatloaf - yes, Meatloaf - gracing the stage. The birds and the bees story has never been told like this but everyone - audiences, club owners and the wait staff - enjoy their sting because it’s all in fun. And everyone will know they’ve gotten their money’s worth.
Michael made his network debuts on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in the same year. He followed that up with performances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central's The Half Hour and most recently Conan. Currently you can see Michael as a contestant on NBC's Last Comic Standing.
Desiring to perform all forms of comedy, Michael took sketch and improv classes at The Second City in Chicago, iO, and Annoyance. In Chicago, Michael debuted his one-person sketch show--Pursuing Happiness: A bunch of scenes about people that moved out of their parents' house, got a real job and got married. Performed by a guy who didn't.
Gayle Becwar and his funny, bizarre, innovative, magical performance will fulfill all of your entertainment needs. Growing up in a family of magicians, Gayle’s first introduction to entertainment came as a child, performing with his family’s traveling magic show. Since then, Becwar has spent several years presenting his fresh, fast paced magic and comedy act as a full time solo professional. Audiences from coast to coast will attest that his act is truly unique and entertaining. Becwar has opened for Dan Seals and Holly Dunn, and worked a series of shows with legend comedienne Phyllis Diller. Gayle Becwar has a likeable, ad-libbing style that makes each of his performances special and exciting.
