Penguins Comedy Club located inside The Vault presents Charlie Weiner
May 23 and 24
Show time 7:30 PM
What happens when a baby boomer happily residing in a closet, deep in the recesses of his mind, filled with sixties memorabilia wakes up to find he has been married several times and is the father to two daughters of voting age? Where did the good times go? What’s a mortgage? How did his old nemesis, Reality, find him? Who will win the battle royal for control of his life, responsibility (Yuck) or his mind?! CHARLIE WIENER joins the hilarious struggle each night live on stage as he rants and harangues against that which would make him give up the life he has chosen and have to find adulthood and a regular paycheck.
Through three musical albums, headlining gigs in comedy clubs and colleges throughout this great land of ours, hosting two television shows, WIENERVISION and OFF THE WALL, and appearing on such shows as A&E’s Evening at the Improv, CHARLIE WIENER has proven over and over again that there is nothing more hysterical than an old hippie coming to grips with everyday situations we’ve had to deal with all along. He has been considered one of the top comedians working the club circuit for the past ten years. For one of the most freakishly, wild and comical evenings you will ever have, with all the subtlety of a howling monkey, it’s CHARLIE WIENER to the rescue. You’ll find out your life isn’t really so bad.
In a business where too many performers rely on shtick or the latest political joke du jour to get laughs, Mike Merryfield is refreshingly original. His act never feels fake or forced. By simply being himself, he's become a comic on the verge of stardom.

Coming on-stage with a gruff demeanor and a booze-swiller's bad ass attitude, comedian Kyle Kinane surprises newcomers with his unexpectedly well-crafted standup sets. Born in Chicago, Kinane first tried his hand at comedy while attending Columbia College, influenced by the loose yet confident work of Mitch Hedberg and Patton Oswalt. He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his craft, and by 2007, he was invited to the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival along with the television show Last Call with Carson Daly. In 2010, he released his debut album Death of the Party on the Aspecialthing label, and a year later, he starred in his own episode of the Comedy Central Presents series. In 2012 he worked alongside Bob Odenkirk, Zach Galifianakis, and others and developed an animated series for Comedy Central called Triptank. The cable television network's record label released his sophomore album, Whiskey Icarus, in 2013.
