What happens when a baby boomer happily residing in a closet, deep in the recesses of his mind, filled with sixties memorabilia wakes up to find he has been married several times and is the father to two daughters of voting age? Where did the good times go? What’s a mortgage? How did his old nemesis, Reality, find him? Who will win the battle royal for control of his life, responsibility (Yuck) or his mind?! Gayle Becwar and his funny, bizarre, innovative, magical performance will fulfill all of your entertainment needs. Growing up in a family of magicians, Gayle’s first introduction to entertainment came as a child, performing with his family’s traveling magic show. Since then, Becwar has spent several years presenting his fresh, fast paced magic and comedy act as a full time solo professional. Audiences from coast to coast will attest that his act is truly unique and entertaining. Becwar has opened for Dan Seals and Holly Dunn, and worked a series of shows with legend comedienne Phyllis Diller. He recently taped for HBO’s Comic Relief, where he scored big to thunderous applause, and for Showtime in their Funniest Man in America Contest. Gayle Becwar has a likeable, ad-libbing style that makes each of his performances special and exciting. His college degrees in broadcasting and Speech have contributed to his professionalism, as well as a warm and engaging rapport. Charlie Wiener has headlined comedy clubs across the United States and Canada for more than 30 years. He has shared the stage with Ellen Degeneres, Bobcat Goldthwait, George Lopez, Gordon Lightfoot, Randy Newman, Meatloaf, Todd Rundgren, America, (the band not the whole country, tho’ close), Jefferson Starship and many, many others. He has performed in 49 states and several provinces of Canada as well as Dublin, Ireland, driving more than two and a half million miles and aging himself by a multiple of six. He is old, broke down and in pain which he bitches about almost constantly but that is what old people do best.
With appearances on A&E, Comedy Central, his own cable shows 'Off The Wall' and 'Wienervision', CBC, NBC, ABC and CBS as well as being heard regularly on XM radio he has brought the concept of having fun while piling on the years to an art form.
With his sharp delivery, quick wit, and identifiable style, Mike Toomey has been a favorite at comedy clubs and special events since 1982. Mike has appeared in concert with such names as Wayne Newton, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Reba McEntire.
He has performed on numerous television programs including: HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado; MTV's "Half Hour Comedy Hour"; and A&E's "Comedy on the Road." Mike is also the creator and star of the hilarious one-person show "TV & Me," which enjoyed a highly successful run at Chicago's Apollo Theater.
The Chicago Tribune calls Mike, "One of the funniest and most talented performers to ever work in Chicago."
Over the years, David has had the good fortune of writing monologue material for both Bill Mahar on "ABC's Politically Incorrect" and Jimmy Fallon on "Late Night". David has done a ton of radio fill-in for the Cumulus Broadcasting stations in Grand Rapids, MI...97 WLAV FM and has also become a regular guest host on the nationally-syndicated "Bob and Tom Show" out of Indianapolis.
