Joe is a half-Cuban half-Irish (or Cubish) comedian and actor.  Growing up in Texas he had an affinity for the sport of baseball and dreamed of one day playing for the Houston Astros. When his body didn’t grow up with his dreams, he moved to the performing arts where muscles aren’t necessary.

Joe went to Marquette University where he received the Chris Farley Scholarship for his creativity and positive use of humor. While there he performed in numerous plays, including "Quid Pro Quo" which went on to be performed at the Kennedy Center as part of the American College Theatre Festival.

Since moving to Chicago, he has been a member of improv teams at iO and the Playground theater, but his primary focus has been stand-up comedy. Over the past 10 years he’s taken his off-stage persona of intolerable presence and morphed it into his on-stage persona of lovable jerk.  He satirizes through absurdity and is facetious to a fault.

He has performed in numerous comedy festivals such as Chicago TBS Just For Laughs Fest, the Boston Comedy Fest, the Memphis Comedy fest, Chicago Sketchfest and he was a finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award.

Has he also appeared in a Cracker Barrel commercial and an episode of Chicago Med where he improvised yelling at Oliver Platt? Yes he has.

Anyhow if you're not in the same area as Joe, you can always hear him on his podcast 30 Characters and follow his consistent campaign for office as Masturbation Jenkins, a murderous hobo who constantly is running for whatever public office is vacant. @mj4gov on twitter.

  • Mike Armstrong
February 08, 2020 at 8:00 PM Mike Armstrong
Mike Armstrong is the ex-cop from The Bob and Tom Show and as seen on Comedy Central. Mike's an ex-cop - He'd stop cars and warn the speeding drivers about the speed traps up ahead. “I think that when I quit the police department three other cops lost their jobs. They simply didn’t need that many internal affairs officers anymore!” His kids are funny, too. When asked by his teacher about his lucky rabbit's foot his son responded, “It was the only thing left in the trap… pretty lucky huh?” When the teacher called Dad to complain about the youngster’s behavior, Mike offered his true feelings . . . “Shut up! I’m not married to you!”
